“Who says you can’t have fun at work? I love what I do. I love who I get to work with and I love helping our clients solve their business challenges through process and technology improvements.”
Travis is an Operations Lead who has been with Neocol since April 2022. In the short amount of time he has been with Neocol, he has taken the initiative and ownership of quite a few things within the organization that didn’t have a valid owner. His willingness to take on new challenges is unparalleled.
Question: Travis, what brought you to Neocol? Travis: I was brought to Neocol by the opportunity to work with a former manager whom I worked under for four years at another employer. I had left the ecosystem after leaving that employer and changed career paths, spending the last three years working as a Clinical Trials Analyst, negotiating trial budgets with pharmaceutical companies. After lots of encouragement from my former manager, I was talked into coming back into the Salesforce ecosystem. I have loved every minute of being back in this environment and am glad I made the decision!
Question: What do you like about Neocol? Travis: I love working with the people at Neocol, collaborating and solving problems when it comes to staffing and internal operations. I take great pride in figuring out how to make all the puzzle pieces fit together to ensure we have the correct team in place to deliver what we’ve promised to our clients.
Question: How did you get started in this space and the Salesforce ecosystem? Travis: After graduating with degrees in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, I started working in the healthcare industry when a friend approached me about a job opportunity with their company. I had never heard of Salesforce, let alone worked in the ecosystem, but was interested in the opportunity to learn and grow my technical skills. I was offered an operations role at the company and gained Salesforce certifications while working there.
Question: What do you enjoy outside of Neocol? Travis: Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my spouse, Barron, and children, Olivia (5) and Will (3). When we aren’t taking the kids to activities or to the park, I can be found working on numerous home renovation projects. Who says you can’t have fun at work? I love what I do. I love who I get to work with and I love helping our clients solve their business challenges through process and technology improvements.
Below we shared some of the things that were said about Travis by his peers:
“We just wrapped up an audit of the financials for the first half of the year. Travis led the charge and dug into the details every step to ensure we could check each item off. He meticulously ensures every project is set up correctly and with the correct bill rates. This allows for our PMs to trust their budgets and for the Executive team to be able to forecast and see what we have done historically.”
“Travis has the entirety of Neocol’s best interests at heart as he spends every day ensuring the best staffing decisions are made, and accuracy is maintained in PSA.”
As part of our Employee Spotlight, our awardees get to choose a charity of their choice for a donation to be made in their name. Travis chose the Tyler Clementi Foundation, a philanthropy that works to end online and offline bullying in schools, workplaces, and faith communities to honor the legacy of Tyler Clementi, an LGBTQ youth who died by suicide after being bullied by his college roommate.
Congrats, Travis, on being a great ambassador of our core values!
